Crops in Jaffarabad

In Jaffarabad agriculture activities are performed in two seasons. Same as in all Pakistan.  And crops cultivated on these seasons are, Rabi crops and khareef crops.

Rabi crops  which are cultivated in the beginning of winter and harvested in early summer, the main crop of this season is wheat , they also include oil seeds,  gram (Channa), Potatoes.  

Khareef crops which are grown in beginning of summer and are harvested before beginning of winter. Major crop of this season is Rice, and these crops include maize, tomatoes, sugarcane. Actually the process of growing these crops is started as water is available. Irrigation system in Jaffarabad depend of canal water system. Pat feedar is main source. Which is directly linked with Indus River near Sukker, It has many branches which irrigate different areas in Sindh and balochistan.
